Macomb Community College is a multi-campus community college in Warren, Michigan. The college offers many ways of transfer including, early college, professional certification, workforce development, continuing education and enrichment. The college opened in 1991, it offers bachelor's degree completion and graduate level programs. The college has about 16000 students across the center and south campus respectively. About a third of the which are taught with online courses. The students are very diverse in terms of their origin, reaching to 34 different countries of origin. Lots of students enroll to Macomb part time in order to fufill their associates for a four year university.
So far my experience with Macomb has been great, albeit stressful at times. I understand that I'm punching above my grade, but sometimes it feels like I should be doing better than I currently am. To the positives though I love getting to know the people here. My professors have been hit or miss so far. My web designer teach has been very nice and lenient compared to my lecture chemistry teacher. However, the lab professor for chemistry has been very nice and dedicated to his job. Overall I'm very grateful for this opportunity at Macomb and I hope I do well.
